Gardening is a workout!

It’s that time of year again. The sun is (beginnning to) shine, and the grass and plants are now growing again.

Did you know gardening is a really good form of exercise? Just an hours gardening can use as many calories as jogging 4 miles. Gardening requires engaging all your major muscle groups in your shoulders, deep abdominal muscles, spine & legs. Without even thinking when your gardening you do a lot of squatting, bending, walking, lifting, digging & raking. Make sure you mix it up with the different things you are doing to lower risk of injury and ensure your whole body gets a workout.
